slab building with slump mold
my inspiration of this piece was to make a coaster. I did so by making venus white clay into a slab and putting it over a circular mold. Once dry I used underglaze to paint the whole thing white and then put various colored dots on the piece. I had no struggle and the process was easy

Sgrafifito
for this piece I decided to take venus white and slab roll it, once this was done I put it into a fish plate mold. Once the piece was semi dry I underglazed it and let it sit for a few days. Once ready I carved it with a signing tool to make the patterns on the fish and then fired the piece. the one struggle was not knowing if the paint was ready, other than that the process was smooth

relief carving
my inspiration for my relief carving were the flowers from tangled. I rolled out venus white into a slab and then placed it onto a slump mold. I began to carve out the flower once the clay had gotten a bit more dry and then i fired it. After the piece came out I glazed it and fired again, then I clear glazed it and fired one last time for the final piece. The carving process was a struggle and it was hard for me to make the petals on the flower equal because once I carved the clay out there was no going back. overall this was a semi difficult piece

Coil Building
To start my coil build I used the machine outside to create long sort of strings of clay, Once I did that I began slip and scoring them to make a coaster. The process was very hard and I tried over the coarse of multiple days to create a good coil build but could not. I ended up slop bucketing the piece

slab building with darts
to begin this project I rolled out a slab of clay and then slipped and scored it together to create a vase looking shape. I cut the darts and added a additional bottom piece to put onto the bottom of the vase. Then I fired and glazed the piece. The additional bottom fell of in the kiln .
